Jabarie is roused out of bed to host his super-sized finale. After tracking down their jet-lagged leader, the gang comes together one last time to bring you tales of Jabarie's trek westward to Denver, a no-holds barred exit interview with the boss himself Marc Ronick, the return of the Brown's Brews Challenge (featuring Colorado beers, of course) and guests a plenty. If you love getting behind the curtain, this is the show for you. Thank you for (almost) six years of listening to us babble on about our lives and the world we live in. We invite you one last time to grab a drink, pull up a chair, and stay awhile... This was the Jabarie Brown Podcast.

(Originally recorded 2/08/2016) This week the gang discusses what they did (and didn't) do for the Super Bowl and how Jabarie's seemingly random choice of a football team to root for a few years ago makes a lot more sense now. It's the final episode of our special 3-part series of Jabarie-less Brown Podcasts leading to JB's return for the final JBP on Friday, March 11th. The voice of the JBP Amy Wolf gives us a peek into the woman behind the sultry tones introducing us every week. Long lost superfan (and occasional assistant producer) Shmob brings us a gift, and reminds of a few we'd like to forget, before catching us up on his exploits since leaving the area. RELM Network founder and podcasting titan Marc Ronick penciled us in for an interview but I guess we should have asked for pen and ink. Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Maybe next time Marc! Oh wait... Next up...the final episode of the Jabarie Brown Podcast.

(originally recorded on 1-17-2016) It's a week of goodbyes. Panda says goodbye (just for the episode, calm down, she's back next week), we all say goodbye to an alarming number of celebrities who have passed away during the first few weeks of 2016, and JB continues to prepare for his big move by saying goodbye to everything that he has ever treasured in his entire life (ok, that's a little bit of hyperbole). Nobody likes getting rid of sentimental stuff... except Michael. |
Mon, 29 February 2016
Our second of three Jabarie-less episodes leading to Jabarie's return for the final episode of the JBP on March 11th. We invite back both Michael's twin brother Chad and listener/friend Ben to the show, a debate from the first episodes of the podcast is finally put to rest, Russell asks the group to pitch him on their new podcasts once the JBP is over, a little bit of JB stayed behind (not to Panda's liking), and of course, more nostalgia is waxed.

Speaking of which, Jabarie is moving to Colorado. Or is he? JB is getting cold feet. Russell comes baring gifts, one of which is improving the audio quality of the show. With only a few episodes left the gang is starting to get nostalgic...well, everyone except for JB's dad and Michael. |
Mon, 22 February 2016
Spoiler Alert. If you haven't listened to episode 255, stop right now and go listen. With Jabarie off to Colorado, Michael begins to steer the captain-less ship back to shore. If that conversation doesn't wet your appetiate the gang gets into a slightly more serious conversation about why the JBP decided not to talk about the Ferguson sitauation when the shooting originally happened. |
Mon, 21 July 2014

Yep, this show tastes like freedom. |

More debauchery from Michael and Joe as Michael's little brother turns 21 this past weekend. However, there was some misunderstanding on who was suppose to get really drunk... Then we talked about the World Cup final, and what should the expectations of burgeoning soccer fans want out of USMNT... no, that does not stand for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. |

The boys get a bit cheeky with this episode as they play a rousing game of "Would You Rather" in which they have to choose between forever having Cheeto fingers, or a popcorn kernel stuck in the back of their throat. FYI, the last "Would You Rather" question is definitely NSFW. After that, the gang talks about a woman seeking a rich husband. Do you think marrying someone only for superficial reasons should be acceptable? |

Everyone rejoices as the Panda returns for this week’s episode. We open the show with a discussion about Tesla and their announcement that they will be releasing their patents for use by the masses. How does this change the development of electric cars moving forward? What reasons could be behind Tesla’s decision to do this? |

Like the rest of America, the JBP passionately hops on the soccer bandwagon once every four years for the World Cup. However, this time we discuss the politics and corruption involved in hosting the World Cup. How is FIFA, and other non-profit organizations of similar ilk, able to be so blatantly corrupt without consequences? What can the average fan do about stopping it? |

This week in Brown's Town, the gang starts off the show discussing Shakespeare (no that's not a typo). See, our show can be cultured too! Next, JB witnesses a harrowing car accident while driving on the highway. Our big topic of the week is all about Net Neutrality, as former Daily Show correspondent Jon Oliver makes the case for it's importance on his new HBO show. The gang talks about the broader impact of net neutrality and whether having access to the internet should be an inalienable right. |

The boys delve into quite the serious topic this week as the recent UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara) shooting opened a discussion about violence and oppression of women in America. But first, there is this very important discussion about which presidents are most likely to pee themselves. Don't worry, you read that correctly. |

Happy Memorial Day everyone! This week the gang gets right to it! We start out by reminiscing about old television shows which eventually leads to a conversation about what constitutes a “white” or a “black” show. After that, Michael talks about his battle with misophonia, a neurological disorder in which negative experiences (anger, flight, hatred, disgust) are triggered by specific sounds. We end the show with a discussion about the gluten-free movement. There are some skeptics in the room, are you one of them? |

Welcome back one and all to the JBP! This week the crew gets right back into the swing of things and the hilarity inevitably ensues. The show opens with the guys catching up on the general Brown's Town happenings of the previous week. We discuss the opening of the 911 Memorial in New York City and Joe and Michael lament their SECOND move from their temporary home into Michael's brand new house! JB brings up Lucid dreaming, talks briefly about his growing curiousity, and the guys chime in about their respective Lucid dreaming experiences. Finally, we dive into the recently released Nasa study that discusses the impending break down of modern global society. Not gonna lie, this show is freakin' awesome! |

After a brief hiatus, the JBP is back with a vengeance! This week the gang discusses what they did on their summer vacation. Michael bought a house, Joe’s car got broken into, and JB explains why his entire car is currently occupied. For our topic de jour, we discuss Shelly Sterling. She will soon be in a battle to keep her ownership portion of the Los Angeles Clippers (that the NBA might force her to sell due to racist remarks from majority owner Donald Sterling). Do you think the NBA should be allowed to force Shelly Sterling to sell her portion of the team? Let the discussion begin! |

Happy Easter and Passover to everyone! This week's JBP is in a fighting mood as the gang discusses the offensiveness of a new Veet Ad. Then, the boys take a quiz the Panda gave them to see who has the most life skills. Lastly, Michael goes on a rant about people vaguely posting Game of Thrones spoilers on Facebook. Why does Joe disagree with Michael's rant? Tune in to this week's episode of the JBP to find out! |

Welcome back! Pull up a chair, and grab a glass, it's time for another round of The JBP! This past week Brown's Town was buzzing with excitement about the release of the new "Girl Meets World" trailer. So, in classic JBP fashion, the gents wax nostalgic about the resurrection of their beloved childhood show (and the potential train wreck television that might ensue). The gang also discusses the buzzing big announcement that Stephen Colbert has been newly appointed as the host of The Late Show. Somehow, our intrepid heroes focus all of this entertainment energy into a discussion about the CEO of Mozilla Corporation, Brendan Eich, and his forced resignation after its discovered that he donated money to help pass California's Proposition 8. |

To update us on "What's Trending in Brown's Town" this week JB talks about PAX East (The Penny Arcade Expo), which is a convention that only focuses on video games and video game culture. After that Michael tries to win "Troll of the Year" by calling universally beloved movies overrated (even JB can't believe the words that are coming out of his mouth). The gang ends this week's show with an article about Dan Murphy, the baseball player who was mocked for taking paternity leave for the birth of his first child. |

This week the entire gang is a little worse for wear after they all partied a bit too hard the night before. That being said, Joe lets us in on how he managed to pull off a clever April Fool's joke on the unsuspecting guests at his weekend gathering. Wanna know "What's Trending in Brown's Town" this week? Well, the buzz has been about a toddler that was injured from razor blades that were glued to a playground! We also found a story about a woman who crowd sourced the search for her birth mother years after she was abandoned in a Burger King bathroom. Later, the gang shifts focus to a conversation on social media and loneliness in the digital age. Has technology, and social media, impacted the way we perceive loneliness? Tune in and let us know what you think! |

The Panda is back! Upon her return Michael tries to give her a new nickname, and the Panda is not enthused. For "What's Trending in Brown's Town" this week, Michael is enthusiastic about the genius of Warren Buffet's one billion dollar bracket challenge. Joe challenges the gang to a rousing game of “Who Has Lindsay Lohan Slept With,” and Panda brings up that possibly the most hated man in American died last week. JB closes it out with a harrowing tale of his St. Patrick's Day run in with the law! At first he was afraid... then he was petrified! |
Mon, 17 March 2014
The boys introduced a new segment this week called "Whats Trending in Brown's Town!" where each member brings an entertaining clip or anecdote from the most popular happenings on the internet. This week's trends are about Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul being on "The Price is Right", and Miley Cyrus' new lip tattoo. For our normal segment we first talk about Barack Obama's recent appearance on the internet show "Between Two Ferns" and how politicians are adapting to new media. (Was the clip funny? Was the clip effective? What was the purpose?) We also discuss the missing passenger plane that flew out of Kuala Lumpur. We promise this addition to the news is much better than last weeks.

Welcome to a thrilling and poignant new show called the JBP News! Where we hope to be your future news provider until the end of this episode. Today's news stories includes Rachel Canning, who is suing her parents for private school tuition and future college funds after claiming that her parents abused her. After that we talk about the new pope on the block! Where the pope said some progressive statements that could possibly ruffle a lot of feathers. However, there is a shocking revelation during the episode that will bring this burgeoning news organization... The JBP News... to its knees. |

The JBP has a couple of rousing topics this week! First, the gang discusses a potential new rule in the NFL that would enforce a 15 yard penalty for using racial slurs on the field. After that we have a conversation about masculinity in modern America. The definition/perception of masculinity changes from individual to individual (and generation to generation). Something as simple as growing a beard can completely change someones perception as to whether they are masculine or not.

***PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED*** Is there ever a time when racial slang is acceptable? The gang discusses their views on such controversial words without trying to alienate all of their listeners. However, there is a realization that double standards do exist, and words have different meanings to different people depending on the context. How do we as a society balance the line between freedom of speech, and not being intentionally malicious towards someone of a different culture? |
Mon, 24 February 2014
First, the boys mourn Team USA’s disappointing finish in Men’s and Women’s Olympic Hockey. Next, Michael and Joe listen carefully as JB tells a harrowing poop tale. After that the crew does some housekeeping and follows up on a couple of interesting stories they've mentioned in previous episodes. The death of a child resulted in prison time for a couple who believes in faith healing and refused to take the sick kid to a hospital. In addition, there was an investigation report released detailing the actions of NFL player Richie Incognito, and how he harassed fellow teammate Jonathan Martin. In recent news, Michelle Bachmann said something very Michelle Bachmanny. Enjoy the show! |

While Joe spent his Valentine's Day with his SO, JB and Michael watched the hopelessly romantic movie, The Wolf of Wall Street. Next, the boys talked about their interest, or lack of interest, in the Olympics. Go USA! Then we discussed the role of a heckler at comedy shows (have you ever had to deal with a heckler before?). From there we ended up discussing the difference between constructive criticism and people who are just being mean with their critiques. How do you tell the difference between the two?
